Impossible to upload portal-service.jar Liferay dependancie
Hi,
We are trying to deploy Liferay to jelastic but when we upload
portal-service.jar (which is approximativly 5Mo) in tomcat7 lib
directory the file uploaded without error but after a refresh of
the directory it disapears.
Any idea on how to solve that issue ?

Have issue that looks like yours.
When I deploy application to tomcat there is an error on 30% of deployment:
"The connection to "project enviroment" was terminated

Hi guys!
Tokamak, could you provide us your .jar file please? We will try to figure it out.
Mikhail, could you let us know your environment name please? And what is the size of your .war file?
Thanks for your reports!

Anton,

We have restriction to 150 mb for uploading, strange... Could you try to upload this .war file into another web-server?
Regards.

It was successfully deployed at localhost
still have same problem at jelastic
It is strange...when the percentage is about 21% it starts from the beginning (0%)

Is it possible for you to provide this .war archive to us?
Regards,
Anton.

We had a problem with connecting Jelastic to our DB. Now it's fixed.
So it could cause the problem, please check it.
Regards,
Anton.

Ok, environments are on place
As for tomcat deployment, I was deploying a .war file directly in tomcat manager.
I can easily deploy a small .war such as default HelloWord.war directly in tomcat manager.
As I have an error during deployment of my(38mb) .war I have uploded it to Deployment manager in jelastic. Than I've started deploying it to environment and removing old war from tomcat, so... I've earned status "in progress" for this tasks and they are still in progress. I've tried to restart tomcat, but It only added a new task- "Restarting tomcat" and I am still waiting for completing all tasks.
I suppose, you should block files deployment that have their copies already deployed (same file name). What should I do to stop all tasks? They are still in progress and I think they will not comlete.

I event can't stop an environment...
After page reloading I have no environments again
Support Staff 18 Posted by Anton on 07 Dec, 2011 10:21 AM
We are restarting our nodes...so it causes this problem. Will be finished very soon.
We will check your tasks status after restarting is finished, i'll let you know about the results.
Regards.

The hardware node was fully loaded, you should see your environments now.

Anton.

Successfully deployed my .war to tomcat using deployment manager.
App works good with postgres
But still can not deploy .war directly from tomcat manager, but think it doesn matter :)
Thanks for help, really good service!

Thanks for all your reports!
Tomcat's admin page are not provided now in jelastic, we provided just admin page for GlassFish.

Anton.
